Accommodations
Beautiful 4-star lodge in a private setting. Each room has an ensuite bathroom and beds ranging from bunks to queens depending on your party’s needs. There is a big lounging area for watching tv, playing games, or reminiscing on the day’s hunt.
Hunting Season
The best time to go to hunt these three species is Mid-May through Mid-June when the coats on the Tahr are at their prime.
Hunting Environment
This hunt takes place in mountainous areas. You will drive until you find animals and then get our and glass and put a stalk on. Hunters in average shape can easily do this hunt. The average shot distance is 150 yards.
Travel Details
You will fly in to Auckland and go through customs. You will then take a domestic flight to Christchurch. The outfitter will meet you at the airport and drive you approximately an hour to the lodge.
